INTRODUCTORY COURSE
Provides the foundation for all future use of Geoplan Expert.
Course objectives
By the end of this course, after working through varied exercises and extensive hands-on use of Geoplan Expert, you will be able to:
- Describe the difference between Area, District and Sector level Postcodes.
- Navigate successfully around Geoplan Expert using a variety of tools.
- Create, save or delete your own maps.
- Open maps from previous versions of Geoplan Expert.
- Print your own maps.
- Create customer location maps.
- Import your own data and shade data values in a variety of colour sequences.
- Overlay your customers onto a map with map pins.
- Use the 'where's my nearest' tool to locate features.
- Load Geoplan Data Modules, e.g. Population Counts.
- Build up to 20 territories or import your pre-defined territories.
- Modify or delete territories.
- Reveal information with the query tool.
- Export data from Geoplan Expert into other software packages.
Who should attend?
Clients who use Geoplan Expert to carry out analysis on management data and use geographical data, to assess the performance and profitability of distribution, sales and marketing areas. No previous knowledge of Geoplan Expert is necessary. A basic knowledge of computer literacy is assumed.
